When I first saw this, I don’t understand the significance behind the concept, rebooting my brain. It sounds weird. But in many ways, our brains works very much like a computer. When our computer is packed with too much junk, it slows down the memory and performance. Our brain is pretty much the same, when it is packed with too much thoughts, especially negative thoughts, it stops us from moving forward.

Have you heard of John Reese? He is one of the most respectable internet marketer today. I have been subscribed to his newsletter for some time, but never quite bought any of his products, as they are beyong my means. However, I have to share his latest video with you. Nope, he is not selling anything. And his is going to revealed the method which has made him a self-made millionnaire he is today.

This is what he says:

“The ‘method’ you will discover in this video is something that I have created and fine-tuned during the past 10+ years of my life. It took me from a depressed (and nearly suicidal) 23 year old that was in over $108,000 of debt to a self-made multi-millionaire.

And, no, my success didn’t happen overnight (it took a few short years) but my life did change INSTANTLY after making this discovery.”

I have spent more than 1 hour to watch the video and I have to tell you it is valuable stuff. But we won’t benefit if we dont’ take any action. So take some time to listen to this video, and take action. Don’t forget to read the comments on his blog. I think you will find great inspiration.

Here is the link to John Reese video:

Since financial matters are one of the leading causes of marital problems and even divorce, getting a hold on your spending, implementing a budget, and saving for the future can also have positive effects on your relationship with your spouse or partner. Moreover, since moms are the ones mainly take charges of a household budget, it is good we equip ourselves with some good budgeting skills. Like the wise man has said, “A penny saved is a penny earned.”

Start saving early.

Whether you’re saving for your kids’ college education, a new home in a nice village, or a special out-of-the-country vacation, start saving early. It is easy to put off saving until next month, but you never know what will come up that will change your plans. So instead of putting it off, begin by making a small, automated contribution to your savings account just after each paycheck. Even as little as $10 a paycheck can add up fast in a short period of time. Then, slowly begine to increase the amount each month. And if it is your child’s education you’re saving for, you’ll need to be a little wiser and start a little bigger than that now: Alwayas assume that you will need to save between $115 and $284 a month. This estimate starts when your baby is born.

Schedule an inexpensive family time

This inexpensive quality time with your partner and the kids can either be a bike ride in the park, a trip to the local library, or even a walk in your neighborhood. In this way, you spend quality time with them without having to spend much. These fun, low-cost activities for your family can also boost your relationship with them as well as your finances.

Ignore the neighbors.

In this consumer culture, you may break out in a sweat when you see the neighbors’ expensive new car, or hear about their ski trip to Switzerland. Always keep in mind your goals and stick with them. Who knows, the neighbors may be up to their eyes in debt in no time.

Seek advice.

An outside opinion can help. If it’s your intimate relationship that is suffering from your money woes, you are not alone. Even perfectly matched and compatible couples can be driven mad by their partners’ spending habits. Talk to your doctor about a marriage counselor who can guide you and your partner through this challenge.

Eliminate debt.

The first step to eliminate debt is to stop accumulating more. Then you can eliminate it. Make sure to pay your bills on time. Use cash whenever possible and work out realistic payments with creditors to reduce financial liabilities. Consolidating debt into a low-interest loan could be a great solution for you. Or perhaps you just need a structured repayment plan.

Maintain a cash cushion.

Nothing is more stressful than losing your job or receiving an avalanche of unexpected bills. Maintaining a cash cushion in the bank — typically enough to live on for at least three months — can help you sleep easier at night.

With these tips of family budgeting in mind and in motion, you will be able to finally reward yourself. You can allow yourself a reward that fits the budget, whether it’s a trip to Hawaii, a day at the spa, or a nice dinner with your partner. After all that hard work, you deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Truly, family budgeting can diminish marital problems in the area where finances are concerned. Where spending is wise, husband and wife can finally break away from stressful discussion on money matters and focus more on family-building.

If you have been around the internet marketing arena, you will realise that being Malaysians, we are at a unfair disadvantage.

First disadvantage, Paypal.

Paypal is one of the most widely accepted payment processor. And it is almost a must to use Paypal if you are an eBay seller. However, Paypal does not allow Malaysians to withdraw funds out of their account although Malaysians can open an account. The only way round this is to open a US bank account for withdrawing funds. I have done a bit of reading up and it is not difficult for Malaysians to open a US bank account. Do a search on Google, and you will find much information on opening US bank accounts for non-US citizens.

Another huge obstacle Malaysians marketers have to battle is Clickbank. Clickbank offers the biggest selection of affiliate products and majority of the internet marketers use Clickbank to sell their products. It is a huge blow for Malaysian affiliates to be barred from opening a Clickbank account. Clickbank has started to ban Malaysians a few years back due to high fraud cases. Thanks to some unscrupulous people, now the whole country is banned! Arrgghh!

Well, I have done some research on this and there ARE some ways to get around this obstacle. First, if you have someone you trust staying in countries accepted by Clickbank, then the easiest solution is to use their address and telephone number to register for an account. However, if you do not have anyone residing in these countries, then the best option is to open a virtual office in those countries which are accepted by Clickbank. For us Malaysians, the nearest would be Singapore. Do a search on Singapore virtual office, you will find that there are many virtual office packages offerred to suit different needs.

If you want more details on this area, there is a very good book specially written by a Malaysians for Malaysians internet marketers.

Chapter-M

If these options are not possible, then you can consider Paydotcom

Paydotcom’s range of products is not as established as Clickbank’s, but it is an alternative you can consider.

If you want to accept payment at your website but do not want to use Paypal, then 2CO may be an option:

The feedback I got from other marketers who uses 2CO is very positive. No issues. In fact, many marketers are lookng for Paypal alternatives as Paypal is notorious for freezing merchants’ accounts. Read here: http://www.JustSayNoToPayPal.com

Computer Security

First of all, the most important, is to make sure your computer is secure. In the online world, there are hackers everywhere. Some want to steal our identity, identity theft is rampant online. Some want to steal our hard earned money. We are going to make serious money online, so computer security is a serious issue. These are the resources which I am using to keep my pc as secure and safe as can be.

1) AVG Anti-Virus.

I have been using the free version for a long time and so far it keeps my pc free of virus and other nasties. It offers a “Scheduler” you can set to automatically test and/or update. AVG also has an e-mail scanner. Download free here http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php You may have your own antivirus software, by all means keep it updated. However, make sure there is only ONE antivirus software protecting your pc. If you have more than one, they will end of fighting each other and at the end, nothing gets protected. Sometimes I use Online Virus Scanner to double confirm my pc is virus free. Some online scanners you can use : Trend Micro Online Scanner http://housecall.trendmicro.com Panda Activescan http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan

2)Firewall
If your pc does not have a firewall, get this free firewall which has been working great for me. Here is the URL:

http://www.zonelabs.com

3) Anti spyware and adware.

This is frequently overlooked by many of us. Spyware and adware cookies are placed in our pc to track our online activities. Some are quite harmless but some can actually trace your keystrokes when you type a password to your email, for example. So it is important to keep your pc free of spywares and adwares. And antivirus software and firewall will not do this for you.

Here are 2 programs I run everytime I finish my work for the day or in the morning before I begin my work. Here are the URL’s:

SpyBot http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10194058.html?tag=lst-0-1

Adaware http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10214379.html?tag=lst-0-1

I visit PC Pitstop an average of once per month .. just to be sure my system is operating at its
fullest potential. Great FREE service. Check it out here:

http://www.pcpitstop.com/

Now that you’ve installed all these programs (or similar products) to protect your system, you may want to check just how secure you are from time to time. This can be easily done at Shields Up! Excellent site, and easy to use. Here’s that URL:

https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

Browsers and Emails

For a more secure surfing, I use Mozilla Firefox browser. You can download free here:

It may get some getting used to it, but once you start using it, you’ll love it. I did.

You should have at least two working emails. For contact emails, I love to use gmail from Google. I have have problems getting emails with this provider. The best is it has up to 2.5 GB of storage, and you won’t have to worry about deleting emails all the time. I use my gmail for subscribing newsletters, forums, free programs as well as correspondence. I tend to get a lot of spams in this email. That is why the huge storage space comes in very handy. More over, there is a “Report Spam” feature which allows you to filter unwanted emails to this folder and it will automatically emptied for you. If you want a gmail account, please email me for an invite.

The second email address should be used ONLY for payment processors and important programmes. This email should be kept private and NEVER made public. I use Hotmail (http://www.hotmail.com) and Safe-mail (http://www.safe-mail.net) for this purpose.

Form Fillers

This is something which I cannot do without. It is never safe to type an important password directly to fill the form. If your pc is hacked by a keylogger without you knowing it, your keystrokes maybe captured and the hacker can login to your account and change important information and steal your money.

One of the most popular form fillers is Roboform. It has a free version with limited entries. You can download the free version here:

http://www.roboform.com

If you want a unlimited password safe, you can try out this software:

Keypass
http://keepass.sourceforge.net/index.php

Phew! That is a whole lot of information there. Do I hear you groan? I know many of us are not technical people, but learning the basics pays off in the long run. Trust me, it is better to learn how to protect your pc then regret later.

I welcome any comments. Feel free to share your ideas.

This might happen to you, no only on occasions, but almost daily. I know it happens to me. In the morning, you and your little one are best friends, you are playing together and you have a wonderful collaboration. After lunch, when I need to start working on my online projects, something is starting to happen – the child becomes anxious, he’s crying, he says he still has something to eat when the plate is empty and so on… All these are the begining of my nightmare, my kids won’t sleep this afternoon either!

The sleep after lunch represents for most adults an inaccessible luxury, even if it is highly indicated for a better digestion and to avoid over-soliciting the organism. This is exactly why you must accustom your child to this healthy habit, no matter how much he fights it. A first advice would be to insist: don’t give up on his pleadings at least until the afternoon sleep is part of his daily routine.

One way to do it is to sit down on the bed next to your child and to read him a story. His organism will surely react and he will soon fall asleep. Don’t forget to place next to him his teddy bear or doll, telling him that the toy has to sleep too.

The method can be reversed: tell him, with a serious tone, that it is essential for the toy to sleep and who can take better care of it that the child himself. Put him to bed with the toy and leave the room. It is highly probable that within the next ten minutes you will find him sleeping.

It is recommended that you will come back from time to time and see if he is indeed sleeping. If he’s playing and totally forgot he has to sleep then stay with him, cheer him up and talk to him on a low tone and it will work just like a lullaby.

Another strategy is to promise the child you will take him out in the park to play with other children and for that he needs to be rested. This will make him happy and he will go to sleep easier. The only trick is to actually go with him to the park after he wakes up. If you don’t then he will lose his trust in you and you will have more problems with him, many more than just the afternoon sleep.

Don’t use it as a blackmail though – the child needs to understand and to learn that afternoon naps are not a way to get what he wants and not a punishment either, he needs to understand them as a healthy habit necessary for his health.

If possible try to get him to sleep every day at the same hour because this way his organism will react and after a few weeks the little one will get sleepy right after lunch. That is going to be a relief from all the previous problems!
