I have been trying my hand on affiliate marketing for the past few months whenever I have spare time after completing my blog offers. I know many are making great money selling other people products, so there is money to be made here. However, for someone new in affiliate marketing, it is not that easy to get started. After reading ebook after ebook on this subject matter, and getting more confused each time, I decided to go back to the basics.
Ok, this is my story. Nothing much to shout about, but I am pretty excited to get a commission of $73.50 just from one sale. This is a start, what I need to do now is continue to refine my strategies. I learn something here too. Since the effort to promote a product is the same, why not promote a product which pays bigger affiliate commission? Well, something for you to think about. The product I was promoting is Niche Empire Generator.
First, I create a blog with Blogger.com. I wrote a review on the product and post on the blog. Of course, it helps to choose the blog name with the product name on it. Here is the blog I created: http://nicheempiregeneratorreview.blogspot.com. Just a simple blog, nothing fancy. The banners and the reviews are provided by the merchant. I did make some modifications though. One thing great about blogger blog is it gets indexed by Google very fast! Sometimes just within 2 days. If you do some promotions, it gets indexed even quicker.
After that, I submitted the review to some article directories. Writing articles and submitting them is one of the easiest way to get started. It is easy and best of all , free. So it is great for anyone to get started in internet marketing. Read my post on Article marketing for more information. I submitted my articles to Ezinearticles.com (the premium article directory) and Goarticle.com. That is pretty much what I did. I should be submitting more articles, but I got to find time. I know internet marketing involves quite a bit of work. What I have shared here is just the very very basic and it has yielded results. So I will try promoting more affiliate products and see how it goes. Getting paid to blog is good money. But we all want more income streams, don’t we?
