New PayPerPost Disclosure Policy effective on Monday

By Online Mom | Dec 17, 2006

A significant change is on the way for PayPerPost (PPP). PPP’s get paid to blog business model has undergone much controversies since its inception. Comes Monday, PPP will now requires all its bloggers to disclose that they are being paid for their posts. Hopefully, this will settle the controversy of blogger being paid for their voice in the posts. You can see my disclosure policy on my sidebar. All my paid posts is labelled as “Sponsored posts” and my readers knows that particular post is paid for.

Techcrunch, which has been critical of PPP’s business model has posted today that PPP has finally done something right to disfuse the controversy of their business model. You can read Mike’s post here.

Personally, I think PPP has done a great job connecting bloggers with advertisers and thus creating a great opportunity for bloggers to earn some money from what they do best - blogging.
